Tree of Life ~ Leaves of Love

Now and forever
A tribute to the pets in our homes
And the ones in our hearts

MEOW is thrilled to announce the addition of a lovely tree to our lobby. This is not just any tree, but a Tree of Life, and it's growing beautiful bronze Leaves of Love. This permanent mural will commemorate the special animals in our lives, past and present. With a minimum contribution of $200, a bronze leaf, engraved with sentiments of your choosing, will be added to the tree. Your pet's name and a dedication will honor your relationship. The Leaves of Love on the Tree of Life will serve as a lasting tribute to your dear friend; the moments you've shared, silly times, sad times. As the Tree of Life grows its Leaves of Love, our Mercy Fund will grow from your donations.

The Mercy Fund is designated for emergency veterinary care for injured, ill or abused animals. Thank you for honoring your animals in this way.

Each leaf can have up to four or as few as two lines; character spaces are limited to 18 per line.

The Purrfect Gift

Emily Scott Pottruck has created a book, "Tails of Devotion" about the devotion between people and the animals that we live with, care for, and are cared by ... " The author has generously promised 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the books (not just the profits) to animal welfare organizations. MEOW has secured a number of these lovely books, autographed by the author, to offer them to our supporters and friends. This means MEOW gets to keep all of the proceeds from each book sold.

Priced at just $30, this is a beautiful, coffee table sized book that presents the personal stories of 58 families and their pets. You'll recognize some of their names: Amy Tan, Robin Williams, Jessica McClintock. At the end of the book there is an opportunity for you to be the 59th family featured on the two blank pages designed to hold a picture of your family and your own letter about your relationship with your pets. Tails of Devotion would make a beautiful gift for the animal lover, or perhaps to help create a new animal lover. It will be a cherished keepsake.

Cage Sponsorship Program

Have you heard about our Cage Sponsorship Program? This is a wonderful way to help the cats and kittens at MEOW until they find a loving forever home. Your gift of $250 will help cover the costs of maintaining a cage for one year. It will help us to provide high quality food, litter, toys and health care. A beautiful placard with your name and the name of a pet of your choice will be proudly displayed on a cage at MEOW for an entire year! You can sponsor a cage in honor of a living pet or in memory of a special pet that has passed on. What a special gift this would be for the cat lover in your life who has everything!

MEOW Kitty Beds - $20 each

These little kitty beds are hand-made by a MEOW volunteer. It took several months to perfect the design so that it would withstand the stress of being heavily used and washed to death. We carefully picked the materials and tried a dozen different construction techniques before we settled on the methods that we are using today. We think that our design runs circles around any of the fiberfill stuffed beds that you'll find in the pet stores. The beds are made from fleece, so they dry in mere minutes. The main seams are serged. Both bottom and sides are quilted to hold the soft foam inserts in place, no matter how aggressive the agitator in your washing machine may be. The quilting on the bottom is in a heart pattern. Shelter tested, kitty-approved!

Custom "Purr Pad"

Donate to our "Fabric Fund" and get your very own Custom "Purr Pad" made to your specifications. These top quality purr pads are kitty tested and approved. When you specify your $100 donation go to our "Fabric Fund" one of our expert seamstresses will call you and get the dimensions of your kitty's favorite chair. They'll also find out what your color scheme is and create for you cat, the purrfect bed, and for your chair, the purrfect cover.

Kitty Pillows and Cat Toys

Order a foot long catnip body pillow - $10 per pillow including postage mailed to your doorstep. Unroll the pillow and watch the kitty fun in your house! To order kitty pillows, please send your check to MEOW (PO Box 58, Kirkland, WA 98083-0058) with your name and address, along with a note "please send catnip body pillow." Your order will be promptly mailed.
